2009 Starter Evansville PA
Well this season started out alittle rocky. The first race of the year was at Evansville PA for ditrict 6. This was a great event and was put together great and ran really smotthly. I got there with the Quadbuilder crew and met up with Howie from Pompton Honda in NJ. This was the first event I would be racing for team Pompton and the bike looked great with the graphics. We got to the event with little time to spare and just made sign up.
I decided to race novice and this woud turn out to be a race to remeber. When it came time to race it was apparent that the novice class was the way to go. With 46 people lineing up I knew this was going to be a blast. The race started and with mud from 6 to 12 inches deep the start was a adventure. We started off the bikes (a different thing forme) and one jump and a kick and we where off. With the start going down hill with a sharp left then back up again this is where things got interesting. With a bottle neck that was 40 deep this was the firsthurdle of the race.
After finally getting out of all the mess we where off and runing. Not getting a good start and crashing in the woods this turned out to be a good practice as I ended up in 36 place for the season opener. Not where I wanted to be but gives me something to shoot for next race. This was a great proactice race and a great way to start the season.I want to thank Pompton Honda and Evansville for a great race. Some other people I would like to thank are Scott for the great works system that I was using and EVS for the goves and gear that kept me dry.
