Overview

How I got started

I started racing in the 250 C class in 1996. I then switched to the 125 C class. After a number of consecutive wins I moved up to the 125 B class. After riding in the B class for a year, I quickly moved up to 125 A class. I raced in the 125 A class for nearly two years and then began racing both the 125 A and 250A classes. I am currently racing both the 125 A and 250 A classes at the local, regional, and national levels.

Goals for the Future

For 2009 I plan to run some the AMA arenacross rounds so I can renew my supercross license. During the outdoors I will compete in several outdoor nationals and go to Loretta Lynns and Ponca City in the +25A and OpenA classes. I will continue to train by cycling, lifting and riding thanks to sponsors like you.

Bio

What inspires you to compete?

My father started me off in this sport. I immediately made it my way of life. I excluded myself from all other sports growing up in order to allow myself plenty of dedication towards my riding. After a few years my father pulled out and cut off all financial and mental support. I then had to put everything into it. From that point on I continued to ride my hardest to prove to both my father and myself that I can compete and excell at the national level.

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

During a hot lap at a national event I slid out in a corner directly infront of a big grandstand.

Why do you like this sport?

Over the years I have made the motocross atmosphere my way of life. I love the independence that the motocross world requires. The physical and mental challenges that this sport brings out are far greater than any other sport I have ever participated in.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

I work full time as an electrician at Tracy Electric. Three evenings a week I work out by doing cardiovascular activities (running cycling and lifting). Two evenings a week I spend riding (practicing) and preparing the bike for the race weekend. I race nearly every weekend at either a local, regional, or national event.

Employment / Experience Summary

I graduated from Vincennes University, majoring in Robotics. I am currently employed as a full-time electrician at Tracy Electric. I am qualified to do tool and die, welding, electronics, and powerline work.

Competitive Highlights

I finished 15th in the 125c mod class at Loretta Lynn`s in 1997. I qualified for both the Pontiac, MI and Indianapolis, IN night shows. I also made it to the Sunday program at Millville, MN, Buchanan, MI, and Troy, OH in the 2003 season. In the 2004 season I qualified into the Sunday program at every AMA National event I attempted. In the 2005 season I won the Illini Super Series in both the 250 A and 4 stroke A classes. For the 2006 season I qualified for every Sunday program at the Outdoor National events that I attempted! The 2007 season started off with a broken arm at the Minnesota Arenacross. I bounced back with consecutive top 3 finishes at most races and Sunday qualifications at the Pro Nationals. The 2008 season was slow during the winter due to insufficient funds. Once the outdoor season came around I picked up some 08 Hondas and went wide open. Like the previous season I continued to have consecutive top 3 finishes.
