Q&A - Personal
Why do you like this sport?
It's an independent sport. I can get away from all the other crap in our society and just go do what I do best and do what I love. But also because of the excitement and adrenaline rush you get lol.
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
I train about 4-5 days a week. And because of school, it can be really hard to go work on stuff I need to work on. I usually put in at least 4 good hard hours of skating a day. But on weekends it's about 6-7 hours like on Saturdays and maybe hit a light 2-3 hour session at the hometown park on Sundays.
Why do you compete?
I compete because I wanna put myself at the top, I always push myself to reach a new level. And by competing, I can get my name out there. The contests are to test your ability and I want to be the best that I can be. But I also compete because it's Gnarly, and I get to skate against some of the guys I used to look up to for the last 5 years.
What inspires you to compete?
Being able to skate with some of the best in the world.
Music?
It's all Rock 'n Roll man. Led Zeppelin is my favorite but I also like The Doors, and Van Halen. I also like the early 30's and 40's swing, and I also love going to the heavy thrash speed metal concerts. SLAYER!!!!
