Overview

How I got started

I started riding as a little kid, nothing competitive, just messing around. After High school, I started looking for ways to apply myself outside the realm of organized sports. Mt Biking was the obvious choice for me because it focuses on the individual achievement, you only lose because you were not good enough, there is no one else to blame. My first real bike was a 2005 Cannondale Prophet 1000, which after riding for 6 months, I decided to race Cross Country at the "Cougar Mountain Classic". This being my first race I was excited when I placed 2nd out of 5 and since that point I have been hooked for good

Goals for the Future

Racing in:
Sea Otter Downhill - PRO Class
Downieville Downhill - PRO Class
Northstar Downhill - PRO Class
US Mountain Bike National Championships - Downhill - PRO Class

Bio

Some Personal Information About Me:

I am graduated from California State University of Sacramento with a bachlors in Sales and Marketing in the fall semester (Dec 2006). I am married to my girlfirend of 4 years in May of 2007. I am a Territory Manager for a small business out of Sacramento and my territory is the North & East Bay Areas

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

I try to ride at least 4-5 days a week, which consists of both Downhilling and Cross Country. I like to do Downhill shuttling on the weekends with some friends from the local bike shop, and my Dad and I do a Cross Country style of riding up the downhill runs. I practice Downhilling for the muscle strength and to practice my riding style and I ride Cross Country to keep up my endurance and keep down my weight

Why do you compete?

I compete because I need a reason to ride. I don?t just want to go out and ride for the fun of it. Competition has always driven me; I played baseball all four years of high school, started varsity, batted fourth. I also played football in high school, played middle linebacker. I like a end goal to work towards, once I set my sights on it, I do all that I can to achieve that goal and surpass my expectations.
